KayakingSea kayaking is one of the fastest growing outdoor sports in the world. It is low impact on the participant and the environment. Kayaks are efficient, stable, and seaworthy. They allow people of all ages and abilities to enjoy a true wilderness experience. You can observe shore birds and wildlife in an unobtrusive way or simply lose yourself in a sunset. Basic kayaking skills are easy to learn and the experience of propelling yourself across open water is intrinsically rewarding. Most of all you will find that kayaking on the Great Salt Lake is just plain fun.

Our experienced guides will share their knowledge of kayaking and the lake as you Kayakingexperience one of the most unique and intriguing natural areas in North America. Our small group size ensures that you get personalized attention. Our gear is top quality from our composite tandem kayaks that are stable and efficient to our PFD’s designed specifically for our environment. More important than anything we have to offer is what the lake has to offer. Come and experience the lake that has enchanted so many people for yourself.

Our tours leave from Antelope Island, a sanctuary for people and wildlife. The diverse environment including the 6,596 foot Frary Peak, make excellent habitat for Pelicansanimals such as bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, and coyotes. Burrowing owls, peregrine falcon, long-billed curlews, and chucker are a few of the over 250 bird species you may see on the island. The shorelines surrounding the island are host to an amazing number of migratory shore birds.

North ShoreAnnual visitors to the lake include about 65,000 black-necked stilts, 250,000 American avocets, and over 18,000 white pelican nest on the islands of the lake. In the heat of summer over 500,000 Wilson's phalaropes will congregate on the lake. The lake is a critical stop for almost six million birds as they migrate north and south along the Pacific Flyway. It is one of seventeen sitesthat are designated to have Hemispheric Importance in the Western Hemispheric Shorebird Reserve Network.

WildlifeThe island offers great wildlife viewing, picnicking, camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, sailing, or the chance to just relax on the beach. You can visit the visitor center and historic Fielding Garr Ranch that are operated by the Utah State Division of Parks and Recreation. Or you can enjoy a meal and panoramic view at Buffalo Point bistro and gift shop, a horse back ride, or a wildlife safari in an amphibious duck provided by Buffalo Point Inc.
